Welcome to strangesurvey.com
This survey forms part of the research for my PhD in Psychology at the University of Coventry. This research involves looking at reports of 'paranormal experiences' involving seeing something not physically present, hearing a voice from no known cause or the movement of objects. These experiences will also be compared to experiences collected in similar research conducted over 100 years ago. You will be asked to provide your email address so I can contact you to request any further information I may require regarding your experience (you can chose not to participate further). Your email will not be shared with any third party, and will be deleted from my records as soon as our correspondence concludes, or after 30 days from your last reply (whichever is sooner.) The answers you submit will be entered into a database which will be made available to other researchers once this research has been completed. All identifying details will be removed to ensure the details you have submitted become anonymous, and you can not be identified by your submission
Please provide as much detail as possible and answer all questions provided. Please note I do not want details of any experiences you have had while ‘ghost hunting’ or while taking part in any kind of paranormal investigation or research. Any of these experiences submitted will not be included in the research. You can choose to withdraw from this research at any time before final publication, and all details you have submitted will be deleted. To withdraw from this research please email me This research has been reviewed and approved by Gail Steptoe-Warren of Coventry University on 20th July 2010. If you have any questions relating to this research, or concerns about participation, please contact me Rebecca Smith , or my supervisor: Dr. Ian Hume. Questions, concerns or complaints regarding ethical conduct should be directed to Prof. Ian Marshall. By clicking ‘I agree’ you are giving your permission for me to contact you if further information regarding your experience is required. You are also agreeing to details of your experience being stored in a anonymized database for use in future research in this area. Last Updated: 2nd September 2010 |
